All students at Duke are required to have adequate health insurance. Therefore, all students are automatically charged for the Duke Student Medical Insurance (SMIP).
If you do not need SMIP coverage, you must submit the health insurance waiver online by Sept. 14! If you do not complete the steps by the deadline published by the Duke Student Health Insurance Office, you will be charged for the plan and the cost cannot be removed.
