Associate Director & Manager for Counseling
Bio
Having spent the last 25 years in a profession he loves, Brian considers himself a "financial aid lifer." His experience includes working at multiple diverse institutions, a non-profit organization that provided training and support to financial aid professionals, as well as financial aid consulting. Beyond his nine to five job he has held leadership positions in several professional organizations, including the College Board, and the Eastern Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators EASFAA, where he was president, secretary, and held several committee chair positions. He served a two-year term on the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrator's (NASFAA) Board of Directors as a regional representative.
Originally from south Jersey, Brian received his B.A. in Corporate Communications and Professional Writing from Elizabethtown College (PA). He splits his time between Virginia, where he lives with his wife and adorable cats (Bunsen and Beaker), and Durham, where he enjoys seeing students and working closely with an amazing team of colleagues. He has two adult children that he coaxes into coming to visit as often as possible.
Outside of work, Brian is avid watcher of all things sports-related. He loves his family and the Philadelphia Eagles, usually in that order. He definitely needs more hobbies and is always open to suggestions.
