Associate Director of Counseling
Bio
Originally from Greensboro, North Carolina, I grew up close to the triangle area. I attended The University of North Carolina at Greensboro earning my B.A. in Psychology, followed by an Advanced Master’s degree in Counselor Education from North Carolina A&T State University. My career began in education working as a special programs teacher, and I later transitioned to school counseling at the secondary level. After a summer internship, I joined the staff in Duke’s Undergraduate Financial Aid Office.
As the Associate Director of Counseling at Duke, my commitment is to support Duke’s promise to meet 100% of its undergraduate students’ demonstrated financial need. Access and funding to higher education is a topic that I am passionate about, and believe Duke’s financial aid policies illustrate the commitment we have to the lifelong success of our students. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or need assistance.
In my spare time, I enjoy the comforts of family and friends. In addition, I enjoy exploring the triangle area and traveling to interesting and historic new places.
