Senior Associate Director of Operations & Compliance
Bio
I began my career in financial aid in 2000 as an office manager in the Financial Aid Office at Lees-McRae College. As a first-generation college student, I worked full time and began my journey toward a college degree at the same time. It was while at Lees-McRae I learned the importance of college access and affordability both personally and professionally. Therefore, I strive to create opportunity for others to have equitable and consistent access to college and higher learning.
I joined Duke University in September 2021 as the Senior Associate Director of Operations and Compliance. My previous roles and employment offered me many great opportunities to learn and grow. With over 23 years of higher education and financial aid experience, my goal is to continue to be an architect for access to education. Financial concerns should not be a barrier for students. I am thankful to be a part of such a great team at Duke, where our promise is to meet 100% of our undergraduate students demonstrated financial need.
At Lees-McRae College I earned my Bachelor of Business Science (B.B.S.) with a specialization in Organizational Management and Development and I also earned a Master in Business Administration (M.B.A) from King University. I also earned my professional credential as a Certified Financial Aid Administrator (FAAC) from the National Association of Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA).
I love to spend time with my family and friends. I enjoy dining out, music, travel, hiking, camping, and this beautiful world in which we live!
