Assistant Director

Bio

A Durham native, I was raised in Blue Devil country and have a deep love for the City of Medicine. The Triangle area is surrounded by great institutions of higher learning that emphasize the importance and value of knowledge, fostering my passion for the university setting. I attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill earning my B.A. in Interpersonal and Organizational Communication. My desire to work with students on their journey to success led me to the UNC Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology where I supported the department’s residency and fellowship programs for budding physicians, specialists, and interdepartmental staff and faculty. I joined the Karsh Office of Undergraduate Financial Support in February of 2013 as a Staff Specialist answering families’ questions and inquiries about our application process and how to utilize the opportunities available at Duke. I have thoroughly enjoyed helping students make their dream of attending Duke a reality. In August of 2016 I became a counselor and look forward to further developing my relationships with families and providing a support structure during these crucial years of academic, economic, and social growth. I encourage questions and conversations, so please send me an email or stop by our corner of the campus to say hello!

Outside of work I’m an avid sports fan and dedicated Tarheel. I love running, roller coasters, spending time with family and friends, and discovering new activities and eateries around town.
